5 days rwanda gorillas and chimpanze tracking safaris

This tour will take you to Volcanoes National Park, also known as Parc National des Volcans in french.This park is apparently the oldest national park in the entire African continent and harbors the endangered Mountain Gorillas of Rwanda that are always available for tourists who would love to carry out gorilla tracking in Rwanda. Besides its huge population of Mountain Gorillas. Later you will transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park for your Chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Day 1 Arrival at Kigali international Airport
In the morning you can enjoy a guided city tour and visit some interesting historical sites, including the Kigali Memorial Centre, Ntarama church, local markets .Have lunch in the capital city before you proceed to the most beautiful national park of the country Volcanoes National Park with the view of the undulating landscapes and take the amazing photographs . It is the area with rich montaine ecosystems, from bamboo forest to open grassland and swamps. Dinner and overnight

Day 2 Rwanda Gorilla Trekking – Iby’wacu Cultural Village
After an early morninig breakfast, transfer to the park head quarters for briefing about the Dos and Don’ts while trekking the the mountain gorillas. Thereafter transfer to the point of gorilla trek and enter into the forest jungle to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Trekking through the forest, hills and swamps can be tough, strenuous and tiring, sometimes taking from 1 to 8 hours in the forest. But coming in contact with the great primates is well worth the effort. which is a truly amazing experience.After coming across the gorillas, you will spend one hour in their company while taking their photos, observing their behaviour and feeding patterns which is a truly amazing experience and then go back to the park office for your gorilla tracking certificate.In the evening if time allows,have a visit to the Iby’wacu Cultural Village an eco place that showcase the Rwanda culture by the once gorilla hunters.

Day 3 Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe National Park. The road is panoramic along the shores of Lake Kivu .Have lunch en route in Kibuye, and later proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will reach in the evening.Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Chimpanzee tracking -Canopy walk(Option)
After breakfast, You will go for the Chimpanzee trekking into the rain tropical forest.It should be noted that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day.There are several other primates in Nyungwe such as the Rwenzori colobus, Hoest Monkey, silver monkey, owl faced monkey, red tailed monkey, vervet monkey and olive baboon and so many others .Return back to the lodge for lunch, relax and then spend the evening taking the Canopy walk viewing more primates, birds, insects and canopies at the closer view in the jungle. Dinner and overnight .

Day 5 Transfer back to Kigali
