First, visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning crater and diverse wildlife. DAY 1: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, begin your journey to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. The park’s diverse landscape features over nine vegetation zones, with ancient Baobab trees dotting the scenery. Look out for a variety of wildlife, including elephants, leopards, lions, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and giraffes, as well as numerous bird species. Enjoy lunch inside the park, watching animals gather at the river. Continue game viewing in the afternoon before heading back to ChemChem Lodge, Kuro Tarangire Lodge, or Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
After an early breakfast, drive across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for another full-day game drive. Covering about 205 square miles, the park is renowned for its unique beauty, featuring an acacia forest with giant fig and mahogany trees that host baboons and blue monkeys. Other wildlife includes hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, and a variety of birds. Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Manyara Tree Hotel, Kirurumu Tented Lodge, or Olmasera Tented Camp.
DAY 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, head to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. This natural wonder is home to a wide range of wildlife, including the rare rhino, elephants, and diverse bird species. The crater features a river, swamps, a soda lake filled with flamingos, a forest, and open plains. Descend to the crater floor to spot hippos and other animals. Have a picnic lunch by the hippo lake, then ascend the steep road out of the crater in the afternoon. Enjoy an overnight stay at Neptune Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, or Plantation Lodge.
DAY 4: Hunting and Cultural Tour at Oldonyo Sambu Maasai Village
In the early morning, embark on a hunting expedition with the famous bushmen near Lake Eyasi. Then visit the Oldonyo Sambu Maasai Village, located 40 km from Arusha town, a highlight of the safari. Guided by the Maasai chief, experience their traditional way of life, including cooking, cattle herding, and dancing. Afterward, transfer to Arusha town for your flight home or an overnight stay.
