1 Day Ngamba Island sanctuary Tour

Ngamba Island is Located 23 km offshore from Entebbe,surrounded by the peaceful waters of Lake Victoria. Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is home to 49 orphaned chimps rescued from throughout Uganda. Island facilities offer day trips and overnight trips which provide exceptional opportunity to closely observe and interact with these fascinating great apes in this unique setting.

After your morning breakfast, we shall embark on 45 minute boat ride to Ngamba Island, the home to the orphaned chimpanzees living in the protected sanctuary. On arrival, the duty caretakers will take you around the chimp home and brief you about the history of the sanctuary and how and why the chimps were transferred to this island. You will be in time for the feeding session as this gives exceptional opportunity for visitors to closely observe their unique behavior and interact with these fascinating great apes in this unique setting. Later transfer back to your hotel in Entebbe/kampala or at the Airport for your depature flight.
