1 Day Jinja city tour

You will travel to Jinja and explore the point where the mighty Nile (world’s longest river ) begins its journey crossing through ten a frican countries before plunging into the Mediterenean sea .Jinja town is regarded as the Adventure Capital of East Africa because of the wide range of tourist activities to enjoy when on holiday or tour in Jinja. Whether you want to relax or prefer to induldge in land and adventure water sports .The River Nile (world’s longest river) offers opportunities to experience all kinds of interesting water sports with most popular activities being white water rafting and Source of the Nile tour. Other things to do in Jinja include Nile kayaking, Bungee jumping, quad biking, horseback riding, cycling,community walks among others.

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel or residence, our guide will pick you up and embark on a journey to Jinja, known as the adventure capital of Uganda. Our first stop is Sezibwa Falls, located 32 km east of Kampala in Mukono District. The surroundings are beautiful, and a local guide will take you on a walk around the falls. This area is a Buganda Kingdom cultural heritage site, rich with traditional folklore, which the site guide will narrate, leaving you amazed.

We proceed to Mabira Forest for a nature walk. Mabira Forest is the largest natural forest in Central Uganda, covering over 300 sq. km, and is located in Buikwe District along the Kampala-Jinja road. After the nature walk in Mabira Forest, we will pass by the Owen Falls Dam and then proceed to Jinja town for lunch.

After lunch, you will enjoy a boat ride to the Source of the Nile and Lake Victoria, where you can take great pictures for future memories. Later, visit Jinja town, which was once the industrial capital of Uganda but has since become more residential, with many old Indian-styled structures where many Indians lived during the pre-Amin era. In the evening, we will transfer back to Kampala.
